Volume 23 Issue 2 presents five high-quality articles aligned with the journal’s focus on “Islamic Education Based on Local Wisdom and Sustainability.” This issue highlights strong scholarly contributions to the integration of local wisdom, Islamic pedagogical innovation, and sustainability-oriented educational approaches within contemporary Islamic education research.

The articles examine value-based cooperative learning, the reconceptualization of ta’dib in children’s moral education, authentic assessment in Islamic Religious Education, mosque-based youth leadership development, and the enhancement of communicative competence through the synergy of Islamic pedagogy and modern communication studies.

This issue further strengthens Al-Ishlah’s international academic profile through contributions from authors representing diverse national and global institutions, including UIN Sumatera Utara, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, UIN Malang (Postgraduate), IAIN Sorong, the Muhammadiyah Pacitan Institute of Islamic Studies, as well as international partners such as Universitas Al-Azhar, Cairo–Egypt, the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), and the Islamic Sciences University of Malaysia (USIM).

AL-ISHLAH: Journal of Islamic Education published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah, Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Parepare as a forum to foster creativity and campaign support among academics, teachers, researchers, and observers of original educational issues. This journal focuses on "Islamic Education Based on Local Wisdom and Sustainability", with the following scope:
1. Integration of Local Wisdom learning technology in Islamic education
2. Integration of local wisdom in Islamic education
3. Sustainability-based education approach

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that fall within the scope of Al-Ishlah review. Please read the information regarding the Peer review process. Articles published in AL-ISHLAH will go through a double-blind peer review process. Therefore, the decision whether a scientific article is accepted or not, will be the right of the Editorial Board based on the recommendations of the bestary partners.
